A 30 year career in healthcare and human services has prepared Phyllis Cobb to advise and advocate for individuals and families in the area of aging. Her experience includes rehabilitation, assisted living and nursing facilities, as well as wellness, retirement and legal issues. She was Marketing Director for one of the largest US nursing home corporations, opening 11 Alzheimer Units in 7 states.
Phyllis has been very active in the community being on the Board of the American Cancer Society, Glasser Schoenbaum Human Service Center, Goodwill Industries and Sarasota Memorial Hospital (elected in 1992). She has received many awards including the Dr. Goldman Award from the Wellness Community, NSFRE Volunteer Fundraiser 1996, Community Video Archives Honoree 1995 and WEDU Speaking of Women's Health Honoree 2002. She also serves on the Sarasota County Senior Citizens Advisory Council.
